About Me

Heather HS 5_edited_edited.jpg

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice in California. I earned my master’s degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. Prior to licensure, I received extensive training at the Women's Clinic Counseling Center in West L.A. and in the Adolescent and Child Therapy program at The Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills.

I work with clients who are struggling with a variety of difficult life experiences and who are interested in feeling more comfortable, aware, and aligned in their bodies and in the world. I support adults, adolescents, and couples as they move through major life transitions and encounter feelings of shame, grief, anxiety, fear, depression, and low self-esteem. Together, we follow what feels significant, shine a light on well-worn patterns, and gently experiment with new ways of relating to self and others.

I come to this work with warmth, humor, compassion, and a deep respect for the inner wisdom of each client. My therapeutic perspective is grounded in psychodynamic, somatic, and trauma-informed approaches, and I draw from various modalities depending on each client’s unique needs. I offer a warm, sensitive space in which clients are welcomed to be wholly themselves and appreciated for exactly who they are.

My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, and my commitment to cultural humility recognizes the shifting nature of intersecting identities and places ongoing curiosity and self-reflection at the forefront.

An essential part of any effective therapeutic relationship is a genuine connection. If you think I may be a good fit for you or your family, please contact me via the form below or call me at 310-907-7684 to schedule a free phone consultation.
